Oh wow. This cheese is soft, creamy and slightly sharp. To me, it tastes more like a goat cheese than feta because it is not as salty. The cheese is stuffed into small red peppers and preserved in vegetable oil. Because of this, I am not sure that it is corn free, so be cautious.
It is one of the very few soy cheeses that actually tastes good all alone. It can be cooked (where it just melts into a sauce) or used straight out of the jar. I use it in all kinds of recipes that call for goat, feta, Parmesan or Romano. I buy it in a local Middle Eastern grocery store, but I've seen for sale online, too. Vava is a brand from Macedonia, I think.
